Forza Motorsport 7 Arrives on Xbox Game Pass on October 8

(Android, Console & PC)

The subscription service for Xbox Game Pass continues to expand, and a fan favourite will be added next month. With DiRT Rally 2.0 leaving the game pass service in October, the question arises: what sim racing game will take the place of DiRT Rally 2.0? We have the answer, and this is the Forza Motorsport 7. You can see in the following overview which games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks.

  • DOOM Eternal (Android & Console), from October 1st, 2020
  • Drake Hollow (PC & Console) from October 1st, 2020
  • Brütal Legend (console), from October 8th, 2020
  • Forza Motorsport 7 (Android, Console & PC), from October 8th, 2020
  • Ikenfell (console & PC), from October 8th, 2020

Since October 2017, fans of the Forza Motorsport series have been able to experience the seventh version. Turn 10 extended the car roster with monthly car pack. The game's final update added the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, among other features, after almost two years of sponsorship, the longest of any Forza Motorsport title to date.

Xbox Game Pass launches on console and PC at $9.99 a month, and $14.99 (AUD$13.96 /AUD$20.93) for Ultimate, which bundles Xbox Live Gold and now xCloud Online Streaming. For the first month, there's also a promotional discount of $1, and the discount of Xbox All Access requires Game Pass Supreme.

The timing also looks ideal here. The next entry in the series, unexpectedly named Forza Motorsport, was announced at Turn 10 earlier this year. From all accounts, it seems that the show will resume again with the next decade, but viewers of the series will still have to wait for a new Motorsport patch until late 2021 at the earliest. Before then, with the 2017 game, both Microsoft and Turn 10 aim to tide things over.
